Canadian Dewatering Workshop – 10th December ’19

WJ are pleased to announce that we will be hosting an ‘Advanced Dewatering Workshop – From Theory to Practice’ on Tuesday December 10th 2019, and you are invited!

The workshop will take place at Weston Golf and Country Club in Toronto, and is aimed at those working in the Construction, Development or Engineering industries, in an executive, estimating, engineering, design or project/construction management role and would like to advance their understanding of dewatering. The one-day workshop will be lead by WJ Group’s Executive Chairman, Dr Toby Roberts and Prof. William Powrie, Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at The University of Southampton, who both co-authored the CIRIA C750 Groundwater Control: Design and Practice 2nd Edition (2016) guide.

Topics that will be covered during the workshop include:

  • When dewatering is required on a project?
  • The various different dewatering methodologies and the situations in which they are used
  • Ground settlement
  • Permeability
  • Dewatering on the ECLRT project
