WJ Groundwater is now working with contractors, Ceinsa – JTC Joint Venture to dewater the construction site at the future Marina Yacht Club in Lusail City, Doha.
Work on the grand project’s design and build began in August 2014. As part of the complex flood prevention works already undertaken, a temporary earth bund has been constructed to allow temporary structures such as work site offices to remain in place. Meanwhile, the adjacent site will be flooded with diverted water in order to keep the construction site dry whilst building work is carried out.
WJ Groundwater (Middle East) has purchased a booster station The technology has been put to work on the Dubai Canal Extension Project. It can pump up to 600 l/s and it is currently feeding off approximately 100 No. deepwells along the course of the Canal. It thrusts the water down a 630mm diameter discharge line 2km to the sea. The station box includes automated monitoring and in-line flow meters on each pump.
