UK Project Update: M74 Raith Interchange

 

WJ Groundwater has commenced dewatering works on a new underpass that will run beneath the M74 Raith Interchange near Glasgow.

The project is part of a massive £1 billion upgrade of the motorway network to the east and south east of Glasgow and is due to end in about 12 months time.

Two Papers Accepted at XVI European Conference for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering

WJ staff and clients have had two papers accepted at the XVI European Conference for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering being held in Edinburgh on 13 – 17 September at ICC. The first paper was to be presented by WJ Groundwater’s chairman, Toby Roberts and the second by Emilio Linde from OTB Engineering.

Team Frankies Excels

WJ-sponsored cycling team Team Frankie’s continue their quest for road domination.  Middle East Director, Paul Turner is a stalwart of the team and was instrumental in setting up the sponsorship deal between Team Frankie’s and WJ Groundwater.  There are a number of keen cyclists in the company including  WJ’s Managing Director, Richard Fielden.  Check out our extensive article in Issue 27 of our in-house magazine, The Wet End, here.

WJ Nominated Finalist at the NCE Tunnelling & Underground Space Awards 2015

 

WJ Groundwater is a finalist at this years’ NCE Tunnelling & Underground Space Awards, which is taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on the 3rd of December.  We have been nominated, alongside BBMV JV Crossrail C510 in the Ground Investigation and Monitoring award category for the sub-surface dewatering for a steeply inclined SCL tunnel.
